• SCRIPTURE FOCUS

For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

• LEAD PASTOR

Pastor Jonathan Scott

Serving Since 2004 B.A. Biblical Studies M.R.E. Liberty Univ.

Pastor Jonathan (Jono) Scott has been part of the Woodside Baptist Church family since its beginning and is grateful for the privilege of serving the church that has been home throughout his life. From his early years, he was actively involved in the children's, youth, and music ministries, and while attending Bible college, he served as the children's and youth ministry intern for two summers.

After earning his B.A. in Biblical Studies in 2004, Jono married his wife, Janae, and began serving at Woodside in a full-time ministry role as Children's Pastor. He later served as the administrator of Woodside Baptist School before transitioning to Children and Youth Pastor in 2008. In 2020, he completed a Master of Religious Education (M.R.E.) through Liberty University. In early 2025, Pastor Jono was called to serve as Lead Pastor, a responsibility he embraces with humility, gratitude, and a desire to faithfully shepherd the church.

Pastor Jono's passion is to see people of every age grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. He is committed to the faithful teaching of God's Word, equipping believers to live for Christ, sharing the hope of the gospel with those who do not yet know Him, and encouraging strong, Christ-centered families. His greatest desire is that God would be glorified in every aspect of the ministry of Woodside Baptist Church.

Jono and Janae are thankful for God's faithfulness and enjoy serving the Lord together with their four children — Anna, Michael, Matthew, and Lydia. They consider it a joy to be part of the Woodside church family and look forward to welcoming others as they grow together in Christ.
