Pastor Charles "Chuck" Crabtree
Born on March 6, 1935, in Lusk, Wyoming, to a Choctaw Indian father and an Irish mother, Charles Gilbert "Chuck" Crabtree spent his early childhood in Red Rock, Oklahoma, before his parents, Elmer and Goldie, relocated the family to Denver, Colorado. After attending Mt. View Grade School and graduating from Wheat Ridge High School, he enrolled at Bob Jones University. It was during his time at BJU that he trusted the Lord as his personal Savior and answered the divine call to preach the Gospel.
While at university, Pastor Crabtree formed an acrobatic team with two fellow students, utilizing their unique platform to travel and minister together for six years. Following his marriage to Alyce Honaker in 1960, he stepped fully into the ministry of evangelism. Operating as an extension of Woodside Baptist Church, his calling spans over fifty years of faithful service, sharing God’s wonderful gift of salvation with congregations near and far.
Pastor Crabtree and Alyce have raised five children and are blessed with five grandchildren. Reflecting on decades of life and marriage, he expresses profound thankfulness for the continued privilege of serving the Lord at Woodside Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of Dr. Craig Scott.
Alyce Crabtree
Alyce Crabtree (Honaker) has served alongside her husband, Pastor Chuck Crabtree, since their marriage in 1960. Described by her husband as the very best girl God could have given him for the ministry, she has spent over five decades actively supporting their shared calling in evangelism. As a vital part of their extended ministry out of Woodside Baptist Church, she has balanced the unique demands of traveling ministry with a deep devotion to her family, raising five children and nurturing five grandchildren while faithfully helping to spread the Gospel.
