Dr. Craig M. Scott

Serving Since 1969 Founding Pastor Honorary D.D.

Dr. Craig M. Scott has faithfully served in full-time ministry since 1969 and has been the pastor of Woodside Baptist Church since its founding in 1988. By God’s grace, he planted Woodside with a core group of 13 adults and has continued to serve the church for nearly four decades.

Pastor Scott came to know Christ as a young teenager when his mother led him to the Lord. While attending college on a wrestling scholarship as a math major, God called him to full-time ministry, leading him to change his major to Bible. He served in various churches as a youth pastor before planting Woodside. Pastor Scott serves as president of Woodside Baptist School, serves on various organization boards, and received an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree. In 2017, he founded the Rocky Mountain Men’s Prayer Advance (RMMPA). He also hosts a daily radio program on KRKS, The Bread of Life Broadcast, and actively serves in Woodside’s Bible Quizzing ministry.

Pastor Scott’s passion is to see Woodside glorify God and be a good “commercial” for Jesus Christ. His desire is to equip believers for the work of the ministry and fulfill the Great Commission, helping every person become mighty in spirit for God. His ministry is anchored by favorite passages like Proverbs 3:5–6 and Luke 9:62.

Pastor Scott and his wife, Karen, have four grown children—all serving in full-time Christian ministry—and 17 grandchildren. They are grateful for God’s faithfulness throughout the years and are excited for the transition of Pastor Jono into the role of Lead Pastor, thankful to see the church embrace his leadership.
