The purpose of the WBC Youth Ministry is to Encourage, Exhort, Edify, and Evangelize through excitement, teaching God’s truth, and fellowship.

The desired result is young people who wholeheartedly follow the truths of Scripture, the promptings of the Holy Spirit, and the example of Jesus Christ. Through these efforts, we seek to fulfill the ultimate goal of bringing honor and glory to God our Father and advancing Jesus Christ our Savior.

Weekly Gathering Schedule

We offer dedicated weekly gatherings designed to help teenagers navigate life from a biblical perspective while forming strong Christian friendships.

Sunday School Sundays: 11:15 AM – 12:15 PM

We meet in the Fellowship Room right after the 9:30 AM morning service finishes. Our study begins around 11:15 AM and focuses on clear, verse-by-verse Bible lessons.

Mid-Week Youth Group Wednesdays: 7:00 PM – 8:45 PM

Our mid-week program runs every Wednesday evening. The schedule is broken down into three main parts:

Prayer & Testimonies: A time for students to encourage each other by sharing personal updates and prayer requests.
Games & Outdoor Activities: Team activities held on the field behind the church (or inside the Fireplace Room during cold weather).
Bible Study: A practical, scripture-focused lesson applying God's Word to everyday teen life.

Physical KJV Bible Running Shoes Notebook & Pen

Discipleship, Service & Leadership

Teenagers are encouraged to develop leadership skills, serve the local church, and hide God's Word in their hearts through hands-on ministry.

Bible Quizzing Program Sundays @ 4:30 PM

A structured scripture memorization program where youth work together alongside church leaders to study and memorize passages of scripture.

"Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee."

Note: All participating students need a physical KJV Bible. If you don't have one, we will gladly gift you one!

Summer Children's Program Leadership July – September

During summer months, teens serve by helping run the children's ministry—assisting with organized games, snacks, and Bible lessons.

Community Food Bank Support Every Other Tuesday

A voluntary opportunity for teens to serve local families. Parents are responsible for drop-off and pick-up directly at Woodside Baptist Church.

Monthly Activities & Special Events

Beyond weekly services, we host regular monthly fellowships to give teenagers a safe, positive environment to connect and build lifelong Christian friendships.

Treasure Mountain Bible Camp Featured Camp Trip

Seasonal outdoor trips to TMBC featuring team sports, hiking, outdoor games, and focused Bible preaching.

Event & Activity Rotation

Home Fellowships: Supervised game nights with food held at Pastor Jono’s house.
"Shoppers in Disguise": Our signature annual youth group team strategy game.
Church Work Days: Opportunities for teens to serve together maintaining church grounds.

Activity Costs & Fees

The vast majority of our local monthly activities and game nights are 100% free of charge. Separate registration fees apply only for major off-site trips like Treasure Mountain Bible Camp.

Colorado Invitational Tournament

Woodside Youth proudly participates in the Colorado Invitational Tournament, a competitive Bible quizzing tournament that challenges teens to commit Scripture to memory and sharpen their understanding of God's Word.
